Alhaji Grunsah Attacks Referee; Claims He Demanded Money Before Match

King Faisal's Alhaji Grunsah threatened to kill center referee Prince Amoah after their Ghana Premier League game at the Tema Park on Sunday. The outspoken football Administrator claims referee Amoah telephoned him hours before the game to demand money to assist his side win. Alhaji Grunsah stormed the pitch after the final whistle to attack the referee for what he claimed was biased officiating. Faisal's Ibrahim Salia equalised a Daniel Awuney first half strike at the Tema Astro-turf but Awuney scored again to restore the lead before they stretched their advantage to claim a 3-1 win. A Ghana Sports match reporter tried to intervene and calm down the situation but Grunsah furiously snubbed all security personnel on the pitch and further threatened the referee. I will deal with you after this match," he threatened. "You asked me for money before the game and I refused and I know that is the reason why you are being bias towards my team. I will kill you if we lose this game." The Ghana Football Association's Ethics Committee will drag Grunsah before its panel to respond to questions on his actions.
