Adakabre's Big Day Today

Today Monday October 14, ace broadcast journalist Adakabre Frimpong Manso makes his debut appearance as host of Eden Na Ekor?, the flagship programme at his new radio station, NEAT 100.9 FM. Unlike the other radio stations, NEAT 100.9 FM would have its flagship programme at 1:00pm and Adakabre has explained to News-One why the shift from the normal morning shows. Research indicates that government machinery actually moves into full swing by midday. In the morning, preparation is made for any major decisions, press releases and so on. And by midday, they are confirming and releasing information on major decision that affect the direction of the state. Even in our traditional parlance, our chiefs sit and rise by midday. Talk of our taxi drivers and trotro drivers, they all go through the morning rush hour but tend to relax by midday. Same happens to our market women, Mr. Frimpong Manso stated. He said Eden Na Ekor? targets a heterogeneous audience that cuts across government functionaries, business executives, ordinary Ghanaians, the clergy, entertainers, academia and all manner of persons. Mr. Frimpong Mansos decisions to quit Adom FM and join Neat 100.9 FM generated a lot of talk. He explained what the programme is all about: This is a programme that would afford listeners an opportunity to be told in truth what exactly is happening in the country and the way forward. The aim is for us to have an understanding of the society in which we live. The most important thing is for us to be as truthful as we can and deal with the relevant and timely issues of our everyday lives.
