NPP Lord Sure Of Prez Mahama's Success

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Temakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to minimize their criticism of the Mahama administration about the state of the economy. In his words, President Mahama should be given time and space to govern because it is too early to completely assess him. According to him, for a president who for the past eight months was distracted because of the recently ended election petition hearing in the Supreme Court - there was no way it was not going to affect his administration. Speaking on Hot Issues a one-on-one television programme on TV3 last Saturday, hosted by Mr. Kwasi Pratt, Jnr, the managing editor of the Insight newspaper, Dr. Nyaho-Temakloe explained that eight months means a lot in politics and nobody could have by now stabilized the economy. He said President Mahama will definitely do well and believes strongly he will deliver to Ghanaians on the promises he made during the electioneering campaign last year. Asked what he thinks about President Mahamas fight against corruption, the controversial NPP guru said President Mahama got it right by setting up the Commission for Judgement Debts, which has so far made some staggering revelations. I could not believe that a whole ship was sold and nobody could provide document on the sale of the said ship, he noted. His advise however was for the President to do what it takes to implement the recommendations. There have seen lots of rot in the country and for once a lesson must be taught, the former Ghana Football Association boss pointed out. For him, he will continue to speak his mind because it is one of the benefits of being a Presbyterian from infancy. He therefore said he was not disturbed by the attacks on him by persons he described as new entrants to the NPP.
