My Boys Played Tactically Well - Kwesi Appiah

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has attributed Tuesday's spectacular win to the how tactically his boys played in the first leg of the 2014 World cup qualifying match. The Black Stars in a thrilling match massacred the pharaohs of Egypt by 6 goals to 1. The Pharoas met their heaviest defeat ever through the able hands of Asamoah Gyan, Abdul Majeed Waris, Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu and an own goal from Wael Gomaa at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Even though the Egyptians fought back and pulled a goal back with a penalty converted by Mohammed Aboutrika, the resounding victory has placed Ghana ahead. Speaking in an interview after the match, Coach Kwesi Appiah said; our speed was much better than theirs (Egypt) and tactically our boys played very well. I know that if all the players had a good day, there could be no way Egypt could hold them down. They defended well and got a goal out of it. He said the players had a purpose to gain a resounding win and that is what they achieved He indicated that they are not going to be complacent but train more ahead of next months return encounter.
