Ghana�s black Princesses have qualified for the next round of the 2014 Under-20 Women�s World Cup qualifiers without kicking a ball, following the withdrawal of Guinea Bissau from tomorrow�s first round, first leg qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Guinea Bissau Football Association last week wrote to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) about their withdrawal and the continental body duly informed Ghana about the situation. No reasons were given for Guinea Bissau�s withdrawal from the competition but CAF wrote to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to declare the Princesses winners of the qualifier. The Princesses, who moved from their Prampram camping base to Accra to round off their preparation for the game, thus advance to the second round where they will play Uganda. Uganda also reached the next round under similar circumstances benefitting from a walkover following the withdrawal of Egypt, their first round opponents. Other first round qualifiers to be played this weekend involves Nigeria hosting Burkina Faso, Cote d�Ivoire playing Equatorial Guinea, Namibia facing Zambia, with South Africa playing host to Botswana.
