Guru To Face Legal Action For Copyright Infringement

Ghanaian musician Guru is in the toughest times of his career as he keeps facing one challenge after the other. Guru, who has been criticized immensely by many including religious leaders, politicians and even entertainment critics for propagating a new dance craze Akayida has yet been hit by another issue for illegally using the beat for his hit single Boys Abr3 otherwise known as Akayida which originally belongs to a Kumasi based artist Yung C now known as Akwasi Cute. Akwasi Cute who expressed his heartfelt feeling on the Angel Entertainment Show over the weekend stated although Guru had told him of his desire to use his instrumental in passing, no official communication or procedure was taken and was shocked to hear the song was already been played even before Guru had sought his consent. Akwasi Cute who intends to take legal action against Guru explained although many had asked they solved the issue amicably, he stated efforts to reach the artist had proved futile as Guru had barred his calls and even refused to talk to him whilst shooting the video to song in Kumasi. He however admitted that although Guru mentioned his name in the song, it was not enough as there had been a copyright breach. At this point, it could be stated that Guru needs to take consolation in his own song Boys Abr3. Watch Boys Abr3 video below:
