There Is No Hope For Ghana Under Prez Mahama With His 1st Gear - Asamoah Gyamfi

A member of the communication team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asamoah Gyamfi is sounding pessimistic despite President Mahamas assurance speech that Ghanaians will experience better living conditions next year as he urged them to exercise patience since he has just begun the journey with the 1st gear. President John Mahama says his critics should be patient with his government since the bus of his administration is currently pegged at the first gear. Mahama told a gathering at Awutu Senya in the Central region on Friday that he will soon change to second, third and fouth gear to accelerate developments in the country. Challenging the statement of hope of President Mahama on Hot Fm, the NPP activist averred that President Mahama when he was the Vice President of the late President Mills said he needed a coffee as the spare driver to sustain the wheel and steer of the Yutong Bus which the late President Mills was drivinghe should have started from the third gear after the death of President Mills and moved on to the fourth and fifth gear and not tell Ghanaians that he has moved back to first gear. Sarcastically, he posited that President Mahamas statement about the state of the economy is a true confession to Ghanaians on how he has destroyed the engine of the bus which is driving the country by changing the gear back to the first. Ghanaians are wailing; we are wailing left, right and center because the sound of the bus engine has changed and what I am telling you is that, there is no hope for 2014 and 2015, he opined. Asamoah Gyamfi therefore concluded that the NDC government as it stands now owes so much that any loan it takes goes back to settle another debt; quizzing that if we live a life like this, where will we go as a country?
