Black Queens Captain Okoe Joins Ghana Police

The midfielder has crossed carpet from the Ghana Immigration Service to the law enforcement agency after she nearly lost her job. A former Black Queens captain Florence Okoe is now a police officer after passing out on Thursday. Okoe, who was previously with the Ghana Immigration Service, said she crossed carpet because her job was on the line. The midfielder revealed that she failed to get the consent of her bosses to participate in the Fifa World Cup in Germany and that led to a strained relationship with her superiors. The 28-year-old told Accra-based Joy FM she is elated with her new job. She participated in the 2003, 2007and 2011 Fifa Women's World Cup tournaments for Ghana.
