Asiedu Nketia Acted With Diplomacy And As A Matured Politician

The manner of responses from Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh, Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Staffer, Stan Dogbe and even from President John Dramani Mahama on Hon Alban Bagbins remarks about the style of leadership of the current NDC government and commitment to fighting corruption, have been described as immature. Chairman of the pro-pressure political group, the Young Patriots, Richard Nyamah, believes only the ceasefire call trumpeted by the NDCs General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia made diplomatic sense. Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh in her response to Alban Bagbin counseled that the former Majority Leader for NDC should apply the same zeal, with which he publicly criticized the President, to doing his job as one of the wise men. To my brother Hon. Alban Bagbin, that means criticizing the President in public makes sensational headlines, and perhaps the main topic of discussion for the week, but if you put that zeal into the supervision and oversight of the projects given to you and the other "wise men" to oversee, and deliver on time, on budget and maintain standards and quality, you would be doing something that would be in the headlines for all the best reasons for a long time to come. Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on that same vein said that Alban Bagbins continuous stay in government is untenable after coming out to publicly criticize President John Mahama. A Presidential Staffer, Stan Dogbe called the former Minister of Health a big liar for stating that the Presidency of Mr. Mahama is inaccessible and added that he (Bagbin) has exhibited double standards in his statement. But reacting to the internal wrangling which has arisen due to Bagbins criticism of President Mahamas administration, Johnson Asiedu Nketia averred that Mr. Bagbin and all those who have passed comments on the issue have been asked to cease fire as a committee has been set up to look into the case to settle it amicably. The Young Patriots Chairman, speaking on OkayFM, gave thumbs up to General Mosquitos diplomatic and matured handling of the matter. Asiedu Nketia surprised me with the response he gave on this issue..I was highly impressed and to me this is an experienced politician talking because he has succeeded in satisfying both sidesAsiedu Nketia for the first time is being a diplomat, he confessed. Richard Nyamah however wondered how the issue will be resolved as President Mahama has shut the door for possible discussion with his response that Bagbin is eyeing for the seat of the Presidency but can only wait till the end of his tenure in 2016. President Mahama is and has always been the problem of this country because he has lost the power to control the people who have been stealing from state coffers since he (President Mahama) has been part of the stealing brigade, he claimed.
