The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has petitioned the Speaker of Parliament to set up a Committee to investigate comments by dismissed Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah which suggests that Nana Oye Lithur influenced the judges who ruled on the election petition case. Victoria Hammah alleged on a leaked tape that the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur met with some Justices of the Supreme Court before the final verdict on the election petition case. Parliament becomes the second institution the NPP has petitioned over Nana Oye Lithur�s alleged involvement in the ruling on the election petition. The party has also petitioned the Chief Justice asking her to investigate all the judges who presided over the case.
