Ghana arrive in Egypt for World Cup qualifier

Ghana arrive in Cairo today ahead of their World Cup qualifying play-off against Egypt. All of Ghana's 24-man playing squad made the close to two-hour trip across the Mediterranean from the Turkish capital, Istanbul and arrived in the early hours of Monday. After landing in Egypt, Kwesi Appiah and the Black Stars party were welcomed by their hosts before boarding the team coach to their hotel. The Black Stars will have a training session later in the day at the Air Defence Stadium, the match venue for Tuesday's return leg to familiarise with the facilities. Ghana lead the tie 6-1 after a thumping first-leg triumph in Kumasi last month. The aggregate winner qualifies for next year's finals in Brazil.
