Black stars Assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has stated that the most crucial moment in his career is now. The former Asante Kotoko striker is on the verge of making history with his boss Akwasi Appiah as they step close to qualifying Ghana to her third World cup appearance in Brazil. Ghana's last two appearances at the World cup has come by way of Serbian coaches. Ratomir Dujkovich and Milovan Rajevach took the stars to Germany and South Africa respectively in an interview with XYZ Sports at the teams JW Marriot Hotel base in Cairo the former Wa All Stars boss says the hours leading up to the game is full of emotions. "This is undoubtedly the most crucial moment in our coaching careers" Maxwell told XYZ Sports "We have been waiting for this moment all this while and finally it has come"he added "It means a lot t us to take Ghana to the 2014 world Cup' "When we recieved our appointment last year, we were tasked to take Ghana to the world cup and I can confidently say that we are almost there in Brazil" Ghana is on the verge of making her third straight world Cup appearance in Brazil after posting a 6-1 victory over the Pharoahs of Egypt in the first leg qualifier at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on October 15. Akwasi Appiah and Maxwell Konadu are working as Coaches at the national level for the second time. The duo masterminded the Black Meteors success at the 2011 All African Games in Mozambique.
