Samuel Inkoom Is The Best Around-Akwasi Appiah

Ghana Coach Akwasi Appiah has jumped to the defense of right back Samuel Inkoom within just 24 hours to the Stars tie against Egypt. The Dnipro player has come under a barrage of attack from the public but the Coach has stood by him at all times. Inkoom has not started and completed even a single game all season for his club side but has featured in the last five matches for the Black Stars. The former Basel player will battle Daniel Opare for the right back position in Tuesdays game against the Pharoahs. Akwasi Appiah told XYZ Sports that the under 20 world Cup winner is one of the best around. "I perfectly agree with all those who have raised concerns about Inkoom's lack of playing time but in all the matches he has played for Ghana,he hasn't been bad" Appiah told XYZ Sports "He is one of the best around and we cant do away with such a material who has gathered a lot of experience over the years" he added "If you study carefully,i opted to use two natural backs against Egypt in the first leg and it worked out very well" "Inkoom is a good material and that argument about his playing time must end" Samuel inkoom saw a fruitful career at both club and national team level between 2009 and 2011 but has struggled over the last two seasons following a bust up with club manager Juande Ramos.
