On Prez Mahama's Facebook Wall: Brazil 2014 here we come!

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has expressed delight in Ghanas third consecutive qualification to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He however congratulated the Senior National Team, the Black Stars despite their loss to Egypt Tuesday night. According to him, other nations likely to meet Ghana in Brazil must be cautious since the Black Stars will not be in Brazil just to partake but to impact in the upcoming competition. Sharing how excited he is on his Facebook wall, President John Mahama is very optimistic to announce his presence in Brazil 2014 to watch his boys (Black Stars) play. The Black Stars have done our nation proud for qualifying again for the FIFA World Cup. Congrats! Brazil 2014 here we come! he said. Ghana qualified for the World Cup finals on Tuesday evening, despite losing 2-1 away to Egypt in the second leg of their CAF play-off. The Black Stars boasted a 6-1 advantage from their meeting in October and were never in serious danger of being upset. Egypt striker, Amr Zaki gave the home side slight hope with a first-half goal but no further inroads were made until the closing stages, when Gedo struck to make it 2-0. Regardless of the pressure mounted on the Stars', with few minutes of the game left, substitute Kevin-Prince Boateng pulled one back to make it 2-1.. The comprehensive 7-3 aggregate win means Ghana have qualified for their third consecutive World Cup, while Egypt have not made the finals since 1990.
