The 22-Year-Old Female Teacher Who Died For Caning Pupil (PHOTO)

A FEMALE TEACHER at the Anglican Preparatory School at Nsuta in the Ashanti Region died instantly after falling heavily into a gutter. Charity Nyarko, 23, was being hotly pursued by three angry ladies when she accidentally slipped and fell into a gutter on Monday afternoon. The teacher had visited the house of the ladies to apologise for caning a four-year-old pupil in her class. The small boy lived in the house with the incensed ladies. The cane accidentally hit the boys cheek causing some nasty bruises on the boys body. The three ladies, who are relatives of the four-year-old boy, allegedly became incensed with the teachers presence in their house so they gave her a wild chase which unfortunately led to her (teacher) death. Charity became unconscious after accidentally falling heavily into a big gutter. She was rushed to the Mampong Government Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Addae Brobbey of Kessben FM, an eyewitness, told Daily Guide that the shocking incident attracted a sizeable number of people to the scene. He said the matter was reported to the police and the three ladies were subsequently apprehended and detained for questioning. ASP Asamoah Agyekum, Nsuta District Police Commander, confirmed the horrible incident to Daily Guide in a chat. He said Roberta Maku, 21, Charlotte Asieduwaa, 23 and Margaret Osei, 32, who allegedly gave the teacher the wild chase, had been arrested. ASP Agyekum said on Friday the teacher was caning the four-year-old boy when the cane accidentally hit his cheek. The boy suffered some bruises so he reported the issue to his mother who proceeded to the school to report the teachers action to the senior staff. ASP Agyekum said the headmaster of the school, on behalf of Charity, apologised to the boys mother who accepted the apology. Later on Monday, he said, two ladies, who are relatives of the boy, stormed the school to castigate the teacher for whipping their boy and inflicting bruises on his cheek. The teacher became confused following the ladies invasion of the school, thinking that her apology to the boys mother had not been accepted. When the school closed, she and another teacher of the school, therefore, proceeded to the boys house to apologise again. But upon reaching the house, the ladies, who had stormed the school earlier to remonstrate with the teacher, gave her yet another hot chase immediately they saw her. Charity, who also decided to run away from her attackers, unfortunately slipped and fell heavily into a gutter in front of the house, leading to her death. ASP Agyekum said the police were still questioning the suspects.
