Pokman Time Centre (PTC), Ghana, a subsidiary of PRG Industries in Hongkong on Tuesday officially opened its third sales outlet at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra. The PTC also unveiled a new brand of watch-�Frank Master Chronograph Watch� which is a multi-purpose watch and comes in leather and chain. Mr Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry said, he was informed that the opening of the outlet aims at re-branding and re-positioning the Pokman brand, to be the leading Ghanaian brand when it comes to the retail and wholesale of world class brand of watches. He said it in line with the Ministry of Trade and Industries programme to achieve its mandate to create competitive advantage on a more diversified range of products with higher levels of value addition, ensure international trade advantage in cost, price, quality, design and logistics Management. Mr Vanderpuiye who is the Member of Parliament for Odododiodio urged the PTC to re-position its business in the light of manufacturing of some of the watch accessories and the assembling of the watches in Ghana for the benefit of the youth and the country as a whole. Mr Sharma Gary, Chief Executive Officer of PRG Industries, Hongkong, said PTC is well known for dealing in only quality, world known and recognised watch brands and accessories. �The new �frank Master Chronograph� today confirms that PTC is leaving no stone unturned,� he said. He said PRG Industries have a very long standing relationship with PTC and confesses that PTC has grown to become a very matured and trust worthy enterprise over the years, earning a very valuable name both locally and overseas. Mr Gary said PRG Industries enjoys working with PTC and that discussions are far advance with the Centre to set up an assembling plant in Ghana. Mr Owusu Afriyie, Spokesperson for PTC said the Group would continue to concentrate on works towards the opening of other sales outlets in other regions.
