Wakaso, Asamoah Nominated For 2013 African Golden Lion Award

The Ghanaians have been nominated for the top Moroccan award alongside Didier Drogba, Mikel Obi and Aboutrika. Black Stars duo of Mubarak Wakaso and Kwadwo Asamoah have been nominated for the prestigious 2013 Golden Lion Award. It is a competition set up by Moroccan newspaper 'Al-Mountakhab' to decide the best African player of the year. Joining Wakaso and Asamoah on the shortlist are: Mehdi Benatia (Morocco-AS Roma), Mohamed Aboutrika (Egypt-Al Ahly), Didier Drogba (C�te d'Ivoire-Galatasaray), Yaya Toure (C�te d'Ivoire-Manchester City), John Obi Mikel (Nigeria-Chelsea), Kwadwo Asamoah (Ghana-Juventus), Mubarak Wakaso (Ghana-Ruben Kazan), Jonathan Pitoipa (Burkina Faso-Rennes), Sofiane Feghouli (Algeria-Valencia FC). Didier Drogba is the title holder after winning it last year. Wakaso and Asamoah were nominated for their fine form for club and country.
