Former President Rawlings earlier this week described his immediate successor, former President John Agyekum Kufour, as being autocratic and further claimed that he monopolized corruption during his era.
Following the remarks by former President Jerry John Rawlings regarding the erstwhile Kufour administration, several fanatics and members of the opposition New Patriotic Party and other political figures have descending heavily on him to cast his mind back to his heydays and regime.
With the critics slamming former President Rawlings for firing the first salvo, it is obvious some people are still embittered by his actions and inactions.
This is why Bernard Mornah, PNC's General Secretary, called on political figures and parties in the country to stop blaming one another whenever the issues of corruption are broached.
Speaking on Peace FM's political analysis programme, Mr. Mornah stated the name calling syndrome on the political front of the country should cease.
To him, successive governments have taken their turns to ward off any corruptible practices but seem to have failed to completely nip it in the bud.
He was commenting on the remarks made by former President Jerry John Rawlings that the erstwhile Kufour administration was overwhelmed with corruption.
Mr. Mornah expressed that successive governments have all made prevention of corruption their top priority; so, their inability to combat such economic canker should not be blamed on one entity.
