Nadia Buari's "Diary of Imogen Brown" Premieres On December 23

She had been harbouring the desire to write, produce and direct her own films for some time now and the dream has finally materialised for actress Nadia Buari with the completion of her maiden production called Diary of Imogen Brown. Starring herself, Jim Iyke, Charles Bruce, Soraya Mensah, Heba Khaled, Kevin Boateng, Prince Mingle and Beatrice Dadson, Diary of Imogen Brown will premiere at the Accra International Conference Centre on Monday, December 23. It will show at the Takoradi Akroma Plaza on Tuesday, December 24 and at the Kumasi Golden Tulip on Thursday, December 26. The film is about a beautiful young woman called Imogen Brown. She has managed to create a successful diamond business empire and with a handsome boyfriend and a posh home in addition, Imogen feels on top of the world. She is, however, unaware that her possessive and philandering boyfriend, Tyler Grayham is only interested in her wealth. He tries to persuade Imogen to marry him but after a number of unsuccessful attempts, he ends their six-year old relationship. A heart-broken Imogen then meets another man who gets her hooked to hard drugs. Nadia who has acted in scores of films and is a product of the School of Performing Arts of the University of Ghana, Legon, says some of the incidents in the film are based on true-life events. �The main objective of the movie is to highlight the threat drug addiction poses to personal and national development,� says Nadia who shot to fame with her role in Beyonc� - The President Daughter. �It is also designed to express the extent people can go to relieve stress from their system, especially after a seemingly healthy romantic relationship goes bad.� Nadia helped to bring radiance to other people�s films through her acting and the public cannot wait to see what special qualities she has brought to Diary of Imogen Brown as writer, actress, producer and director.
