Ghana Maintains Position In FIFA Ranking

Ghana has maintained her 24th position in the latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Coca-Cola world ranking released on Thursday. The Black Stars are still the second best on the continent behind Ivory Coast with accumulated points of 849 as the December edition of the rankings remained unchanged. World and European champions, Spain top the final ranking of the year for the sixth time in a row.Germany are second with Argentina in third place. Results of 30 international matches were taken into account. Results of 918 matches were considered; many of which were friendly matches (415), and more than a third of which (347) were qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
