IGP Gets Thumbs Up

Samuel George Nettey, a member of the Governments Communication Team has highly praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for working diligently to get some kidnapping syndicates behind bars. According to him, in spite of the fact that Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan has not been in office for any considerable length of time, he has introduced innovative measures that has made the nation safer. something starts and takes a worrying trend on the 1st of December and by yesterday, which happens to be the 22nd, the IG and his team have been able to do enough intelligence work to be able to identify the individuals and pick them up without the loss of life of anybody. because most times, even in advanced nations when they try to undertake such sting operations to pick up the kidnappers, there is loss of life of the kidnapped child, the NDC activist noted on Metro TVs Good Morning Ghana. Mr. Netteys praise for the IGP comes on the heels of the arrest of the architects and the accomplice behind the recent child kidnappings from churches in the Accra metropolis. 27-year-old Ernest Kwabena Koomson, alias Ernest Abotsi, a self acclaimed man of God and Isaac Ntie, 19, suspected to be behind the abduction of three children in separate operations between December 1 and 15, 2013, were arrested by the police after picking up the ransom for the release of the fourth child they had kidnapped at the Lighthouse Chapel International at Kaneshie in Accra. The IGP told journalists in Accra on Sunday, that police commanders and their men under the Accra Police Region visited 70 churches in the city as part of a sensitisation programme as a result of the recent abductions. Thus, it is for the successful operation to arrest these suspected kidnappers coupled with the efficient management of road traffic in this yuletide that Samuel George Nettey has given the IGP thumps up.
