Hearts and Kotoko Set To Clash In A Super Friendly

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak are set to clash in a friendly later this month, Ghanasports can exclusively Reveal. The friendly is expected to be played as a double legged affair with the first likely to come off at the Baba Yara Stadium. Hearts of Oak are preparing towards the start of the second round of the Ghana premier league whiles Asante Kotoko couples that with a representation in the CAF champions League. Ghanasports has gathered that the sworn rivals are in negotiations to test their strenghts as the local league is on break. "We are in talks with Hearts of Oak for a friendly later this month or early February and they are also interested in the idea," Kotoko African Management member, Samson Deen revealed. "We see it as a prudent idea to test our strength with Hearts before we enter into Africa and that will also offer them the opportunity to prepare adequately for the league". "The fans I know will also love to watch the two big clubs as the league is on hold," he added. The highly anticipated match is likely to come off later this month.
