Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari says Ghana 's run in the World Cup later this year will be very difficult looking at the quality of teams in the group.
Ghana is in Group G with 3-time World Cup winners Germany, Portugal and the United States of America in the tournament and Muntari has called on his team mates to understand how challenging the group matches will be for Ghana.
" I was a little surprised at the pairings we got for the games in Brazil. We have to respect the teams we will face in the World Cup. The draw gave us Germany, who are very good and we also got Portugal and the United States", said the AC Milan midfielder in an interview with GH One television on Monday.
Muntari added that even though the Germans and Portuguese had top quality in their ranks, Ghana's dominance over the United States at the World Cup gives the Americans a greater motivation to beat the Black Stars.
" I can understand the attention on Germany and Portugal but the USA will be equally difficult to beat. We have beaten them twice at the World Cup so they would also want to get back at us. They will be difficult to beat as it is our third meeting."
However, Muntari expressed confidence in the team and said hard could get the Black Stars to succeed in Brazil.
Ghana will kick off its 2014 World Cup campaign against Portugal on the 24th of June at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia.
