The world awaits the biggest football tournament, which will kick-start in June. Ghana�s Black Stars is scheduled to play the United States in their opener before taking on Germany and Portugal in Group G. In an exclusive interview with Ghana Sports, George Afriyie, a Member of the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has hinted that the team can only assemble in May, at the earliest. He adduced that all the national team players will be playing for their various clubs and can only get to arrive in camp a month to the tourney. �Kwesi Appiah can only get his full squad in May because the players are playing in their league. I don�t think our group contenders, USA, Germany and Portugal have started any preparation as far as I am concerned,�he added. However, the US team has already pitched camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil, playing some trials and Germany are scheduled to build a beach-side camp-base in Brazil. Though they are yet to assemble, Portugal has most of its players playing in the best leagues in the world. According to the GFA executive member, Ghana are determined to go past the quarter-final though the Football Association is yet to announce the schedule of the Black Stars.
