The issue of a transitional government continues to be at the heart of the Geneva 2 conference, which began on January 22 in Montreux and then shifted to Geneva.
"Lakhdar Brahimi (pictured above) canceled the afternoon talks to give (Syrian government chief negotiator Ibrahim) Jaafari time to think over Geneva 1," opposition negotiator Ahmed Jakal told Reuters.
