The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), headline sponsor of the Black Stars, has commended the team at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN), for being runners-up at the just ended tournament in South Africa.
Commenting on the team�s loss to their Libyan counterparts on Saturday, GNPC�s Acting Chief Executive, Mr Alex Mould said: �Even though you did not win the ultimate prize, placing second in the 16-nation tournament, after stretching your opponents through 120-minutes of field play and first round of penalty shoot-out, shows you put up a good fight.�
He has therefore called on the players, technical team, management and all Ghanaians to put the loss in the finals behind them and focus on the lessons learnt for improved performance next time.
