Ghana goalkeepers coach Nassam Yakubu does not believe the confidence of Fatau Dauda will be destroyed after he was overlooked for the friendly against Montenegro.
The Orlando Pirates net-minder was left out of the 21-man squad announced on Monday.
Yakubu, who privately worked with Dauda when he was on holidays in the country during the Christmas break, has played down his absence.
If I show a lack of faith in Dauda it would be undeserving after what he has done for Ghana, he told Accra-based Happy FM
He has just been dropped for this friendly but surely he will go to Brazil.
We have all been concerned about his lack of playing time but that will not affect his confidence and performance.
We only need to work with him for few weeks and he will be in top shape before the World Cup.
He is aware of what were trying to do and so hes not perturbed at all.
