Kotoko Striker Yahaya Mohammed: Im Not Missing

The forward has revealed he took advantage of a two-week time off to travel to Libya to sign a contract with Al Ittihad-Tripoli. Asante Kotoko striker Yahaya Mohammed has insisted that he never went AWOL contrary to media reports. The player said he was given permission to rest due to an injury he picked up during the African Nations Championship (CHAN). He therefore capitalised on that to travel to Libya to sign for Al Ittihad-Tripoli. The Porcupine Warriors have reported him to the Ghana FA. I am not lost, the 26-year-old told the press. I travelled and came back yesterday [Wednesday]. I have been in Tema since. I did not inform anybody when I went to Libya and that for me is my biggest crime. The doctor gave me two weeks to recover from the injury I picked up during the CHAN tournament and I took advantage of the break to travel. He added: I was asked not to train. The doctor, coach and everybody is aware at Kotoko. And so its not true that I have gone missing. His contract runs out at the end of the season.
