We Dont Want Our Bonuses In Cedis - Black Stars

Players of Ghana Black Stars led by Captain Asamoah Gyan are reported to have kicked against receiving their bonuses in cedis and have demanded that all their allowances are paid in dollars. Ghana President, John Mahama recently gave the directive that Ghanas players should be paid in cedis and not in dollars but the players upon hearing the directive from the President of the state has officially written to the GFA demanding that they are paid in dollars insisting that once they ply their professional trades outside Ghana they need not be paid in a local currency. Sources within the GFA have said the petition on behalf of the entire squad was made by Captain Asamoah Gyan who according to our checks was involved in a meeting with his team mates where the decision was made. The players want to be paid in dollars and not in cedis. This is their request but the FA will meet with them to sort it out because of the government policy. They have submitted their reasons but we hope to meet with them on the issue. The Black Stars are poised for an international friendly with Montenegro on Monday 5.
