Coach Sarpong Expresses Disappointment Over Rajevac

Ex-national team coach, J.E. Sarpong, says he will be very disappointed with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) if it re-engages the technical abilities of former Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac. Reports suggest that the GFA is going in for the former Qatar national team coach as a technical advisor to Coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I will be very disappointed if the FA appoint Rajevac as advisor to Kwesi Appiah, the former Liberty Professionals coah said, adding that there are a lot of experts locally. The technical director of the Football Association Oti Akenteng is around and he knows the number of technical coaches with all the needed assistance in the country, with all the needed certificate. He opined that Ghanaians have not expressed doubt about the abilities of current coach Kwesi Appiah and if for nothing at all, he says, Appiah will opt for a Ghanaian assistance. He urged Kwesi Appiah on to improve in his friendlies before a final squad is named for Brazil. He lauded the former Black Stars captain for his selections. It is not yet clear whether it was the GFA that contracted Milovan or Kwesi Appiah who is calling for the assistance. Milovan led the Black Stars to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and won Ghana Silver at the inaugural African Nations Championship in 2009 in Cote dIvoire.
