Personal and Political Assistant to New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2008/2012 flagbearer, Francis Asenso-Boakye has openly declared his support for aspiring National Youth Organizer of the party, Sammy Awuku, describing him as �a man of words�a man of action�. According to him, among the other competitors, Mr. Awuku is the only contender who is capable of infusing zeal, drive and dynamism in the office as a national youth organizer. �It is with enormous pleasure that I humbly endorse the candidature of Sammy Awuku for the position of national youth organizer of the New Patriotic Party. I have known Sammy for some time and been impressed with his acute sense of patriotism and dedication to duty. I am confident that he will infuse zeal, drive and dynamism into the demanding office of a national youth organizer,� he said Sammy Awuku�s hard works over the years in the party has won him some gargantuan endorsements within and outside the elephant fraternity. Francis Asenso-Boakye who is also the founding president of Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) and former youth organizer, NPP-North America, noted on his Facebook wall that �A youth organizer's ability to keep pace with the ever changing social, political and media landscape have a keen appreciation of the legitimate aspirations and demands of a vibrant, yet disconsolate youth of this country, and eloquently articulate them, will no doubt be critical to a successful tenure in office.� ��This is where Sammy stands tall; he has proven, without doubt, that not only he is a man of words; he's also a man of action�. He further stressed that �It is patently obvious that an inglorious summer of discontent is upon us and a cloud of despondency and desperation hoovers menacingly above our heads. It falls on a youth organizer, in the manner of Sammy Awuku, skilled in the art of mobilizing, with demonstrable communication skills, tenacity of purpose and single mindedness, to seize the moment and pursue the clarion call of the youth�no more mediocrity, no more bitter Ghana�a new hope [day] beckons. It�s time for a new transformative agenda.� Adding ��I trust that the discerning minds and astuteness of our delegates will once again be amply demonstrated by electing Sammy Awuku on April 12, 2014�. An elated Sammy Awuku, in an interview with Peacefmonline.com expressed appreciation for endorsement. �I am extremely grateful and more importantly humbled by the trust and confidence you have in my abilities. Moving on i make a solemn pledge not to disappoint you (Francis Asenso-Boakye) and the many others who have endorsed me when God willing I am elected as National Youth Organizer of the NPP in Tamale come April 12,� he said.
