Only Promising Thing About Mahama Is His Continuous Promises Hes Still Promising Amidst Failures

The promises of President John Dramani Mahama to address all the demands of Ghanaians in their respective areas within the space of two years has been greeted with contempt by a member of the communication team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying the high indebtedness of the country will make promises made outside the 2014 budget impossible. President John Dramani Mahama is reported to have said that the government will continue to borrow and use the money for productive ventures. In an apparent response to suggestions that the government was borrowing too much, the President said there was nothing wrong with borrowing, provided the money was used for development. There are some who claim Ghana is borrowing too much and that it is increasing the nations debt stock, but I dare say if you borrow and use it prudently, you are on the right course and that is what is important, the President stated. But Asamoah Gyamfi, obviously not pleased with the numerous promises of the President to construct roads, build schools and to do other developmental projects in the country amidst the huge deficit of the nation as captured in the 2014 budget, has asserted that it will be impossible to do anything outside the budget. He stressed that the recent promises made to Ghanaians to build schools and construct roads are not covered in the 2014 budget, making every promises of the President a farce as government remains indebted to GETFund contractors, District Assembly Fund and NHIS. The NPP communicator averred on Okay Fms Ghana Decides that the budget allocation to some ministries, departments and the agencies was only half of what was expected because of the unavailability of funds. With the indebtedness of the country, the government cant start new projects but wherever the President stands, he keeps promising amidst his persistent failure to fulfill them. You can wish anything but you cant do all; there are so many things that we have not completed..we still owe GETFund contractors, District Assembly Fund and NHISthe only promising thing about President Mahama is his continuous promises; you can be assured that he will always promise to do something. The promises he made to Eastern Region is not possible to fulfill, he stressed.
