Kotoko GM Accepts Home BAN in Good Faith, Says The Club "Doesnt Learn"

Asante Kotoko General Manager, Samuel Opoku Nti says the club has accepted the ban imposed on them by the Ghana Football Association Executive committee and will not make any attempts in appealing the decision because the club admit to taking the laws into their hands. The Ghana league leaders have been banned from playing at the Baba Yara Stadium for the rest of the season after their fans beat up referee ER Biney in their 1-0 home defeat to Heart of Lions last month. This means the Ghana Premier League derby II clash against rivals Hearts of Oak on 11 May will be played on a neutral grounds. "It is very clear that bizarre incidents happened and I think we need to learn from our mistakes, this is not the first time that this has happened to us and we were suspended so I thought we would learn from our mistakes and I thought it would be a lesson to us not to take the laws into our own hands no matter what happenedn" Opoku Nti told Kumasi-based Angel FM. "The spectators who normally come to the stadium usually don't learn and we don't even understand them, I'm very sad that after we started the league serving a ban and toiling up and down, we didn't learn anything from that mistake and we have gone to put ourselves into that corner". "Now the club has to suffer and go through all these unwanted circumstances and its affects us financially and I'm praying that after this one, we will not try and take the laws into our own hands and ensure that this will never happen again". He added.
