Mass Action Committee wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his outfit for the prompt manner in which they have responded to our request made on Tuesday 22nd April 2014 to impress upon the leadership of GYEEDA to retract an advert they had placed in the Daily Graphic. We are encouraged by the knowledge through this singular act that, the President�s commitment and belief in GYEEDA�s success and sustainability still remain unshaken. We are also excited to note that, not only did the Office of the President order the cancellation of the said advert, it also admonished GYEEDA to stay focused and dedicated to the Action Plan aimed at tackling the structural, institutional and legal weaknesses of GYEEDA. And for us in the Mass Action Committee, that call is at the heart of what we demanded of GYEEDA�s leadership. We also wish to assure the President and the GYEEDA leadership that, we will continue to lend them support in every way we can, throughout this journey of GYEEDA�s revival. Meanwhile, it is worthy of mention that, MAC appealed in our press statement to Civil Society Organizations and well-meaning Ghanaians to add their voices to our call for the termination of the advertisement at issue. Although Ghanaians, especially the youth, in their own ways supported this call, the loud and constructive contributions of Hon. Kwaku Kwarteng and Mr. Vitus Azeem deserve special mention. We also wish on behalf of all Ghanaian youth, to thank and commend all Journalists and radio discussants who saw the need to support our cause and indeed did same.
