Chairperson of the Commonwealth Observer Mission, Nana Akufo-Addo has voiced his personal opinion about the ongoing elections being held in South Africa. In an interview with Xolani on Talk Radio 702, the former flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party congratulated the nations Electoral Commission for putting in place serene measures to ensure voters exercise their franchise without any form of intimidation. He explained that he is personally impressed with the technical organizations in place and could confidently say that South Africa has scored high in terms of democracy. I am happy to say that South Africa has scored high because most of the stakeholders are satisfied with the arrangements the EC has put in place...The political atmosphere is positive and it is one that allows people to put their views across and mobilize their supporters to go out and vote. It is anticipated that there wouldnt be any decree of violence or an attempt to stop some of the people from voting, he said.
