Ghana President H.E. John Mahama says the Black Stars have the quality to make history by winning the World Cup in Brazil for the first time. The President who hosted the national team to a dinner at the Banquet Hall in Accra on Thursday night tasked the players to put extra effort to make that dream happen. Ghana and the citizens of this great country are expecting the very best from you, President Mahama said at the function. We expect you to die a little for your country. We expect and pray that Ghana lifts the World Cup for the first time in our history. Ghana, who will be making their third-straight at the finals have been drawn into Group G with three-time winners Germany, Portugal and USA. And we must believe that this is possible. With the entire nation rallying behind the Black Stars, President Mahama reminded the players to go to Brazil with confidence. We are going to go into every match with a strategy and with God on our side, we shall overcome. We have so much faith in you. Indeed the whole of Ghana has so much faith and confidence in you. Ghanaians believe in you. The hearts and mights and hopes of all Ghanaians are with your and never forget that, he said. The Black Stars will end their first phase of preparations on Friday night and depart for Holland on Saturday.
