Ghana Defender John Boye Will Decide Future After 2014 World Cup

Out-of-contract Ghana defender John Boye is in no rush to decide his future and his focus remains on the 2014 World Cup. The centre-back is a free agent this summer but reports say his former club Rennes have offered him a bumper deal to stay. Last week, reports in the French media, claimed he is on the priority list of Spanish giants Barcelona to replace retired Carles Puyol. But Boye has distanced himself from speculations about his future. My major focus now is the World Cup. After that I will deal with club issues. I know how desperate my club wants me to extend my years but I also believe it will only be prudent to do that after the World Cup, the former Heart of Lions player said. He arrived at the club for the 2008-2009 season but had to wait longer to make his debut in 2010. The 27-year-old made a total of 63 French Ligue 1 appearances.
