David Accam 'Disappointed' For Not Making Ghana's Final World Cup Squad

Ghana and Helsingborgs IF midfielder David Accam has been gutted after getting dropped from Ghana final 23-man squad for the World up in Brazil. Black Stars forward Abdul Majeed Waris who played with Accam at Right to Dream Academy in Ghana backed the Helsingborg livewire to get a place in the Black Star's final squad for the World Cup in Brazil but the 23-year old winger failed to make the cut after coach Kwasi Appiah axed him together with the injured Jerry Akaminko and Jeffrey Schlupp. Accam who is yet to make a competitive appearance for the stars after receiving two call ups says he feels disappointed for still not getting the opportunity to prove his worth with the national team but insists it is an honour to be part of the national side. The former Ostersund FK man wrote on his official Facebook page "It's been an honor to be part of the national team. I'm disappointed not to have been selected for the final squad, and not have the opportunity to prove myself against Holland, but that is finished now. When the squad was announced I took the first flight back to Sweden and my focus is now 100% on the Helsingborgs IF game against Falkenberg. God knows best!!!". Kwesi Appiah on Sunday announced his final Ghana squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
