Episode 'Mad' At Bass Awards Organizers

Release of this years Bass Awards nominates have generated a lot of talk especially amongst the Reggae/ Dancehall fraternity. After a well-organized launch last Friday May 30 at Z-Bar in Accra, some Reggae/ Dancehall artistes have registered their disappointments at the board for one thing or the other. One of such unhappy artistes is sensational Dancehall artiste Episode. Despite his 3 nominations in this year's Bass awards, Episode is still not happy about his exclusion in the "Best performer of the year" category. Expressing his displeasure to Peacefmonline.com Episode said "I have played almost if not all the Reggae and Dancehall shows from January 2013 to December 2013. The records are there to prove it and I've on myself and gave spectacular performances on all the Reggae/Dancehall stages. I have also played notable mainstream shows of which the adverts are there to prove. I worked very hard last year and I deserve to be in that category. I feel they have tried their best to recognize me in other areas like, (Record of the year, Best Collaboration, Dancehall song of the year) `but again, I honestly feel I should be in the Best Performer category. Even my fans all over were surprised I was left out of that category. Something needs to be done." Episode has made waves right from last years maiden edition of the Bass awards till date. He performed both at the nominee jam at the stadium and the awards night last year. He also performed on various other platforms throughout last year and even this year including Ghana Music Awards nominees jam in Tamale. Episode (Real name: Theophilus Nii Ardey Otoo Junior), who believes he is one of the most promising Dancehall show stoppers in Ghana now, is clearly not happy of his exemption from the Best Performer of the year.
