Im Better Than Sarkodie - Guru

Nana Yaw Adjei Maradona, known in Ghanaian Showbiz industry as Guru, has expressed dismay at Bola Ray, the CEO of the Record label (Empire Records) he is signed on. Though it is a Ghanaian culture that a child should never speak ill about his elder, or better still point to the house of his father with his left hand, Guru has defied that axiom. Revealing on Takoradi Skyy Power FMs OC Showbiz Review, Guru said Bola Ray is his Manager but the two can have personal interests that run parallel. This was in an answer to the question that his Takoradi fans were upset as to why Bola Ray sprayed money on Sarkodie during his performance at the Ghana meets Naija but they did not see the same thing done to Guru, a progeny of his label, when he was on stage. Some things do not inspire nor motivate me. You know its all about Bola, it could be that he could manage you as an Artiste but he would also have his interest or whoever he likes. Linking that to how a parent could have many children but have a favorite, Guru further detailed that It could be that your mother may have 10 children but have a favourite among the 10. That does not mean Bola likes one person than the other, or he doesnt like me. I think you should ask him (Bola Ray) that question, but to my understanding, he did what he felt and I cant challenge him on that, but spectators would ask how a whole Manager of Guru do that. An emotional Guru said in all, Bola Ray did what pleased him but there is no way the person (Sarkodie) he rained money on is doing better than him. Comparing how many hit songs he had last year to Sarkodies, Guru said as at last year, he was known for having 5 hit songs on air. This year, I have 3 hit songs but how many has the person he did that to have in the system and how well is he doing? So Managers should be careful of what they do. I am not the one to judge him on what he did but I think it doesnt make sense. So far as I am your Artiste and was on the stage, you should give me that respect, Guru lamented.
