NPP Must Resist EC From Registering Unscrupulous Persons- National Nasara Coordinator

2016 draws nigh, and the New Patriotic Party has vowed to leave no stone unturned so far as the general elections and the limited registration exercise is concerned. Peacefmonline.com spoke to the National Nasara Coordinator of the party, Mr. Kamal-deen Abdulai about the exercise and he raised some interesting points. According to him, eligible voters who for some reasons, failed to register in the previous exercise should take advantage of the ongoing exercise. Mr. Kamal-deen Abdulai also called on members of the NPP to remain vigilant as the exercise progresses. As members of the party, we must remain vigilant and never allow unscrupulous people to undermine the electoral laws of the land by registering unqualified people during the process. I again would like to call on all executives of the party to get on board and ensure a clean exercise. In fact we should all be seen on the field, he said. He made a special appeal to people in the Zongos communities by urging them to record their names in the voters register by registering if they havent done so in the past. As part of preparations towards the 2016 general elections, the Electoral Commission has started a the limited registration exercise to allow Ghanaians who have attained the age of 18 years since the compilation of the 2012 Voter Register to have the opportunity to register. The exercise would also offer eligible Ghanaians who didnt register during the main registration the opportunity to do so.
