3-Member Commission To Investigate Black Stars' Shambolic World Cup Performance Sworn In

The Presidential Commission which was set up to investigate Ghana�s abysmal participation at the last FIFA World Cup in Brazil has been inaugurated by newly appointed Youth and Sports Minister, Hon Mahama Ayariga. The Commission which was sworn in on Monday, August 4 by Justice Akamba is made up of; Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Moses Foh-Amoaning and Kofi Anokye Owusu Darko. The trios have been given the green-light to commence their 30-day enquiry into what led to Ghana�s disgraceful exit from the 2014 World Cup. Black Stars crashed out of the tournament in the group stage in Brazil with only a point. After their early exist, issues of player indiscipline and agitation over the delayed payment of appearance fees leading to the Sulley-Parker bout and the infamous airlifting of over $3m to Brazil will be probed by the commission. Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga has urged the commission to be circumspect and factual in their 30-day inquiry. However, some football administrators have cautioned that, the country must tread cautiously to avoid taking any action based on the recommendation of the Commission that could lead to FIFA sanctions.
