Chairman Wontumi Might Be Losing His Mind.... - NDC Chairman

Following Chairman Wontumis allegation that all transferred Police Personnel to the Ashanti Region are members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Yaw Owusu Obimpeh has responded harshly that the NPPs regional chairman is probably losing his head. This allegation was made when about 100 bused fresh voters he (Wontumi) suspects to be members of the ruling National Democratic Congress from the Upper East Region were arrested in the various electoral areas of the Ashanti Region, attempting to register for the next general election in 2016. As a way of verifying the intelligence he picked, Chairman Wontumi revealed that he assembled his men at vantage areas to prevent the bused voters from registering their names in the area. In all, sixty (60) culprits were arrested and thirteen (13) have been handed over to the Zongo Police Station where they have been made to write statements. According to an eyewitness who spoke to Peacefmonline.com, some of the culprits confessed to them that they were asked to come and register at the Asawase, Oforikrom, Alabar, New Edubiase and Tepa areas. Responding to Wontumis allegation on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia programme, the NDC Ashanti Regional Chairman hinted that the arrested youth are from the Northern Region working as porters in the Ashanti Region for survival as their arrival has nothing to do with voters registration. He stressed that there is nothing wrong with the youth from the Northern Region who are working in the Ashanti Region to join in the registration to exercise their voting rights in the country during elections; emphasizing that NPP should stop the tribal politics as this will affect the peace the country is enjoying. I think something is happening to the head of Chairman Wontumi for him to allege that all the transferred Police Personnel are members of the NDC; he is getting some heat in his head because how can I identify all the Police personnel in the Ashanti Region as NDC, NPP or CPP members? Do the police officers have identity on their foreheads indicating their political affiliation? He should tell us the police officer in Suame who led the fresh voters to register in the Ashanti Region. We shouldnt use lies to do politics because none of the allegations is true; if he doesnt take care, something bad will happen in the Ashanti Region, he warned.
