Team Alan Sought To Make Political Capital Out Of Nana Addos Health NPP Constituency Chairman

Central Tongu Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Reuben Amara-Doku, has confirmed claims that Alan Kyeremantens Campaign Team did indeed sought to make political capital out of the alleged ill-health of his fierce challenger, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Numerous grapevine reports had it that a leaflet purported to have been authored by Hopeson Adorye, a leading member of the opposition party and a known fanatic of Nana Addo, was being used as a campaign tool by Team Alan during its tour of Ho in the Volta Region; a claim which was strongly debunked by Mr Kyeremantens team. Following the denial from Alans Camp that they never campaigned on any leaflet purported to have been written by Hopeson Adorye, addressing the ill-health of Nana Akufo Addo, Central Tongu Constituency Chairman Mr. Reuben Amara-Doku has debunked the denial, saying the spokesperson of Alan indeed made reference to the leaflet in their campaign in Ho in the Volta Region. According to the former NPP General Secretary, who also doubles as Spokesperson for Alan Kyerematen, their campaign message has always been issue-based and nothing on their competitors health. Wherever Alan went during his campaign I was with him and I can say on authority that no leaflets were given out to damage Nana Addo in our campaign. Some opponents of Alan want the delegates to forget the message of hope from him and dwell on lies about Alan which will bring division and confusion in the party, Ohene Ntow reportedly said on Okay Fm. But speaking on Okay Fms Adeakye Abia Morning Show, Reuben Amara-Doku pointed out that no leaflets were given to the Constituencies Chairmen in the Southern Zone in Ho where he was part of the meeting but rather the leaflets were issued out in the Northern Zone at Hohoe. The Central Tongu Constituency Chairman further revealed that Nana Ohene Ntow in his response to a question posed on the report explained that they (Alans Camp) are aware of flying leaflets concerning Nana Addos state of health. He however expressed misgivings about the attempt to use the document as a campaign tool. After their message in Ho, one of the Constituency chairmen asked Alan and his team a question and in response, Nana Ohene Ntow made reference that they have received a document that Hopeson from Nana Addos camp has written that he (Nana Addo) has health problems and so if the person is not healthy why are we forcing him this time to contest the 2016 elections..to be honest, he mentioned Hopeson Adoryes name in the reference; I must also say that Nana Ohene Ntow never showed to us a copy of the leaflet but he made reference from itit is bad because even if Hopeson wrote that, is it fair for Nana Ohene Ntow to be using that document as a campaign tool against Nana Addo?......When Nana Ntow made reference from those document about Nana Addo, some of us were not happy; some of us are not interested in those campaigns against personalities, he stated.
