"There's An Attempt To Rundown The Credibility of Agyapong & Paul Afoko" - Fmr. NPP Chairman

Nana Owusu Ankomah, a former Western Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on the partys Chief Scribe to stand his grounds in the face of stiff opposition and intimidation, "else, his political career would be truncated". To him, certain elements in the party are scheming to chip away the credibility of both Kwabena Agyapong the General Secretary and the Chairman, Paul Afoko gradually and the only way out is being unyielding. There is an attempt to rundown the credibility of Mr. Agyapong and Paul Afoko...that is why they are not being allowed to work, he asserted on NAET FM . He also called on the General Secretary of the NPP to come out to lay bare to the rank and file of the party, the true state of the NPP which could go aiding order for better understanding of national directives. According to Nana Owusu Ankomah, I made similar mistakes which cost me dearly in the Western Region so he must be very tactical in dealing with the situation else his political career is going be truncated. His appeal comes on the back of an uproar generated by a directive, which many believe was issued by the NPP Chief Scribe, Kwabena Agyapong for the Acting Communications Director of the party, Perry Okudzeto to proceed on a four year accumulated leave. Many party faithful are accusing their General Secretary of running a one-man show by taking unilateral decisions without due consultations. Nonetheless, Nana Owusu Ankomah wants Kwabena Agyapong to educate the party of its true state of affairs and at the same time unwavering in times of difficulties.
