Cutlass Wielding NPP Activists Cause Mayhem At Party Headquarters

Armed men wielding cutlasses and dangerous weapons today seized the New Patriotic Party�s headquarters with intent of attacking their National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong. The two executives were addressing a press conference on the recent controversy over a directive to the party's acting director of communications Perry Okudzetoto, to proceed on leave when the incident occurred. Peace FM�s Prince Ahenkan was present at the scene reports that the yet-to-be identified armed men attacked security guards at the party's headquarters and even attempted to set a vehicle ablaze. �The men poured dirty oil on a parked four-wheel car but were prevented from setting it on fire,� he narrated. This happens to be the second time within this year that the party has witnessed such an unfortunate event. On June 23rd, 2014, Hajia Fati Amadu a known figure in the NPP launched a scathing attack on the Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong after a fierce altercation between new security guards and old security personnel at the headquarters occurred. The ensuing melee prompted the Nima police led by Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent Nuhu Dzango to intervene.
