NDC Has Absolutely Nothing To Do With What Happened At NPP Headquarters Karbo

Former National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Anthony Abayifa Karbo totally disagrees with his party chairmans claims that the people who besieged the partys headquarters on Tuesday holding machetes were members of the governing National Democratic Congress [NDC]. According to him, the blame games must be ceased so as the party will solve it internal wrangling amicably. The NDC has absolutely nothing to do with what happened at the headquarters. We will not shift this blame to them, he noted on JOY FM. However, the partys chairman, Paul Afoko is purported to have alleged that some angry persons who stormed the premises of the NPP headquarters on Tuesday with machetes disrupting an on-going press conference and attacked supporters of the party were intruders from the opposition NDC, though the alleged angry supporter were believed to be NPP sympathizers. Karbo however called on the party leadership to stop breaking the hearts of disillusioned Ghanaians who are looking up to them for solace after describing what happened at the party office as unfortunate. I was completely disgusted to have seen and heard what happened. I am at a loss of words. We have taken such decisions before but this has not happened before. We must condemn this as party officials. Some of us are worried because these things have been done without any hitch, he angrily said. This current internal wrangling in the NPP emanated after the partys Chief Scribe, Kwabena Agyepong is alleged to have single-handedly sacked the partys Deputy Communications Director, Mr. Perry Okudzeto. This has incurred the wrath of some national executives who have described the one-sided action of the General Secretary as unlawful. But the former youth leader opined that It is more about people trying to show who wields power than it is about Kwabena Agyepong. Meanwhile, the partys incumbent National Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku has apologized to all who might have expressed regret at polling the current headships of the party into power. We have an ultimate goal; political parties are formed to win political power. Events of the past few days have given many of our party people headaches and we apologise for it, he said. I believe there is light at the tunnel. I want to assure every listening NPP member that in 2016, we will put up a formidable show, he assured.
