My Claims Were Based On Common Sense Arthur K.

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy says although he has no evidence to back his claims that Nana Akufo-Addo motivated the clashes at the partys headquarters on Tuesday, he is convinced by common sense that the presidential hopeful is to blame. Dr. Arthur Kennedy has accused the two-time NPP presidential candidate of instigating some aggrieved youth to attack the partys Chairman, Paul Afoko and the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong during a press briefing on Tuesday. The machete-wielding youth were demanding the removal of Agyapong for supposedly taking unilateral decisions without recourse to the laid down procedures of the NPP. The office of Nana Addo in a terse rebuttal said Dr. Arthur Kennedys allegations were borne out of pure malicein pursuit of his hate campaign against Nana Akufo-Addo. In an interview on Eyewitness News to defend his allegations, Dr. Arthur Kennedy; the one-time presidential candidate hopeful said the recent events in the NPP points to the fact that either Nana Addo or people acting on his behalf are the ones behind all these disturbances in the NPP. He further alleged that Nana Addo is doing everything in his power to remove the new executives from office because he has no control over them. Obviously, he doesnt like the idea that there are new executives he cannot control, he asserted. Dr. Arthur Kennedy however admitted in the interview that he had no evidence but with the application of common sense to happenings in the party, one can easily deduce the cause of the problems. According to him, Nana Addo is the only one who stands to benefit if the chairman and his executives are unable to effectively execute their duties saying, look at who stands to benefit, look at what people have said in the past. He mentioned that if the party is able to identify the aggrieved youth who stormed the NPPs headquarters, it will be able to trace them to Nana Addo. An angry sounding Arthur Kennedy who is currently in the United States of America however failed to offer his assistance to the Police to identify the perpetrators of the act and their instigator, stating that it is not his duty to give evidence to the Police. Dont make me angry. Do you expect me sitting here to help them arrest those people? Is that what you are asking me? he retorted. He opined that if the Police who arrived at the scene to maintain law and order were unable to arrest the angry youth, I dont think anybody can help them.
