NDC Guru Endorses Ade Coker

With the political pendulum gradually shifting to the upcoming intra-party elections of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the contest for the Greater Accra Regional chairmanship race is gradually heating up as well. And incumbent chairman, Joseph Kobina Ade Coker known among the NDC faithful(s) as the Champion Chairman is being challenged by two other persons Ekow Mainly Spain and Daniel Amartey Mensah. Ekow Mainly Spain is a fishing magnate and Daniel Amartey Mensah is the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ledzokuku Krowor. In an interview with Today, a kingpin in the NDC in the Greater Accra region who spoke on condition of anonymity said the afore-mentioned contestants are no match for Ade Coker describing them as incompetent and corrupt The NDC guru, who maintained that his current position in the party would not allow his identity to be disclosed said, the two [Mainly Spain and Daniel Amartey Mensah] are only in the race to cover up their political misdeeds. How can NDC allow any of these men to lead the party in Greater Accra, my brother (referring to this reporter), unless the party wants its electoral successes chalked in the last elections under the incumbent chairman dip? the NDC stalwart queried Im wholly in support of the candidature of the incumbent chairman as we want to win more Parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra region in 2016, he said. The 2016 general elections, in the estimation of the NDC leading member will be a mother of all elections, describing it as the battle of the Titans That, he said the delegates for the partys upcoming elections should not make a mistake to elect people who have no political clout and good track record. People like Ade Coker, according to him must not be compromised for any reason since he noted, their caliber and potentials are just enough to help NDC to enhance its electoral fortunes. He went on to describe the incumbent NDC Greater Accra regional chairman as affable, competent, unifier, and above all a true democrat who according to him accommodates all shares of opinion. For Ade Coker to increase the Greater Accra regional Parliamentary seats from 18 to 22, in the last elections, the NDC guru said it was great achievement for the party. The most significant success chalked under the leadership of Ade Coker, according to him, was his instrumentality in increasing the NDC presidential votes in the Greater Accra region since the last elections from 50,000 to 328,000. That, the NDC man described as very monumental in the history of the party in the region which he said, culminated in the presidential victory of the party. To this end, the NDC kingpin, who himself has been part of the national executives of the party previously called on his partys delegates not to make a mistake by voting for anybody apart from the incumbent chairman.
