I Thought Addai Nimoh Would Be Among The Bottom Two - Ben Ephson

Pollster Ben Ephson has expressed surprise at the performance of Addai Nimoh at the just ended Super Delegates Congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper said I thought he would be among the bottom two but he has done very well for himself Nana Addo on Sunday obtained a comfortable victory of 80.81% votes after delegates voted to reduce the number of aspirants contesting the flagbearership slot from seven to five. Nana Addo thrashed former Trade Minister in John Kufuors administration, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Member of Parliament for Mampong, Francis Addai Nimoh, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former MP for Offinso, a former Information Minister, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Joe Ghartey, MP for Essikado-Ketan and Asuogyaman MP, Osei Ameyaw. Stephen Asamoah Boateng and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku were the two who were evicted from the race and the top five were: Nana Akufo Addo, Alan Kyerematen, Addai Nimoh, Joe Ghartey and Osei Ameyaw. Speaking in an interview after voting had ended and results declared, Ben Ephson told Joy FM that he is also surprised at the margin of victory of Akufo Addo. He indicated that Nana will still win in October; however, the percentage will not be the same. According to him, it is possible that even though the party has come out with the top five, there is the likelihood that some of them may decide not to proceed further to contest in October 18. Meanwhile, Ben Ephson on the same platform, stated that all those who came up openly declaring for Nana Addo where not doing him any good towards 2016 because the man would win anyway so why do you do things that those who are defeated will use as an example that the playing field was not level
